About The Still Nest
The Still Nest is a lived-experience-led platform for multicultural families. We work with refugee and migrant families, and with second and third generation Australians, whose culture and faith shape how they experience pregnancy, loss and becoming a parent. We take a whole-person, whole-family approach.
That means fathers, partners, siblings, grandparents, extended family and friends too.
The Still Nest Podcast
Hosted by Dr Fatima El-Assaad, a medical researcher and a bereaved parent, this podcast explores infertility, pregnancy loss, baby loss and birth trauma in culturally, linguistically and faith diverse communities.
SEASON 1
This season offers a powerful taste of the experiences of Australian culturally diverse bereaved mothers who identify with the Islamic faith and insights from professionals working with them.
